Battlespire is the first game in the Elder Scrolls Legend series lineup. Its more linear than Arena and Daggerfall, and more like Ultima Underworld.
The Battlespire is a training ground to become an Imperial Battlemage. When you enter, the place has been taken over by a Daedra Prince and you must save The Battlespire.
Battlespire plays more like a shooter than an RPG; there are no towns, no gold, and you get all your items by finding them (either on the ground or on dead bodies). Your weapons consist of the basic medieval RPG implements. There are people to talk to in The Battlespire. Battlespire only provides around 60 hours of gameplay compared to more than 100 hours in Daggerfall. This game also supports multiplayer, allowing you to battle it out with your friends and other Guilds. |

Redguard is the first Elder Scrolls Adventures game, set in the land of Tamriel at the end of the 2nd era during Tiber Septims reign of power. You are Cyrus, a Redguard mercenary and well-known hero. Your overall objective is to find Iszara, your sister, in Stros M'Kai, Hammerfell.
You are a pirate, and a mighty one. Armed with your trusty sword, battle imperial guards, skeletons, goblins, zombies, and all sorts of other creatures as you search far and wide for your sister. Many townsfolk will have information for you including rogues who'd rather let their swords do the talking.
Using the keyboard, you'll be climbing, jumping, swimming, strafing as well as fencing. But, your quest involves much adventuring as well as action. Helping people with their unique problems along conversation paths, finding objects and interacting with them in puzzles and an involved storyline are all part of the "adventure" aspects. |

In the tradition of the Elder Scrolls series, Bethesda created a huge fantasy role-playing game that leaves more freedom to the player than most other games before. After being released from a prison ship at the shores of the island Vvardenfell, Morrowind heroes may do more or less what they want: follow the main quest and solve the mystery of an ancient prophecy, join any of roughly a dozen guilds and rise in their hierarchy by performing duties, or simply explore the gigantic island with its very individual cities, hundreds of dungeons and tombs, ancient ruins and mighty fortresses.
Morrowind uses a two-stage skill system. Your hero’s primary stats (strength etc.) increase with each level gained, secondary abilities improve by use – the more often you jump, the more proficient you become in the »Acrobatics« skill. The real-time fights are simple exchanges of strikes or spells, until one combatant dies. The enemy's condition (‘How wounded is he?’) is not shown.
Your race and gender, but also your reputation influence the reactions of NPCs. If a character’s sympathy for you is low (rated on a scale from 1 to 100), he might refuse to answer your questions; if it is high, you’ll get more detailed information and better bargains in shops. Most quests involving other persons can be solved by persuasion, pick pocketing, or simply by force.
Morrowind’s NDL 3D game engine is powerful in drawing wide, detailed outdoor landscapes as well as complex indoor environments. Transitions are not fluent; houses and dungeons must be loaded upon entering. |

This is the fourth title in Bethesda's popular Elder Scrolls series. The continent of Tamriel is threatened by the Daedra Prince of Destruction, Mehrunes Dagon. The Emperor Uriel Septim and his three heirs were assassinated. You, a former prisoner in the Imperial Dungeons, were entrusted the Amulet of Kings by the emperor himself, and the mission to find the illegitimate son of his, the last of the Septim bloodline. The world hangs in the balance, the Septims and the Amulet was the last barrier between Oblivion and Tamriel.
The fourth Elder scrolls game sticks to the style of its predecessors. Action based combat, first person and third person views, "free roam". The game lets you play multiple types of characters - you can go in and just kill every monster in your path with your huge sword, or use stealth and backstab your foes from the shadows. You can go into to the world and search for forts, caves, mines, old temple ruins or you can just do some hunting. However, actual roleplaying freedom is quite limited, and there are few branching quests.
The character system, as was the case in previous games, is based on skill usage. When you use one of your certain skills, it improves, in time you become a Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert and Master and gain certain bonuses for the skill. |

Knights of the Nine is the name of a new faction for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, introduced in this expansion pack. The primary goal of these holy knights is to hunt special gear known as "Crusaders' Relics". Becoming a member is not an easy task. You have to go on a pilgrimage across Cyrodiil to visit the shrines dedicated to the Nine Divines. Membership also comes with a restriction: if you stray away from the good path and commit a crime, you have to do the pilgrimage again.
This faction brings along new locations, characters, enemies and items. The base of this new faction is in decline, and by becoming a member you have to gain fame to make other people join the faction. This culminates into the restoration of the base.
The Windows version also adds all previously released bonus content:
* Wizard's Tower: adds Frostcrag Spire which is a big tower which has many useful things for mages in it.
* Vile Lair: a dungeon in which a more evil character can heal himself from diseases, drink blood or collect herbs.
* Thieves Den: a big dungeon with an old pirate ship in it which functions as a base of operations for thief-characters once cleansed from the undead.
* Mehrunes' Razor: adds a huge dungeon in which you can find the powerful weapon called Mehrunes' Razor.
* Horse Armor: adds two kinds of armor you can buy for your horse.
* The Orrery: adds a short quest line in which you need to find new parts for a damaged Orrery in the Mage Academy.
* Spell Tomes: adds books to the world which increase your stats once you find one and read it. |

Since Knights of the Nine was a short new story set in the same region (Cyrodiil), Shivering Isles is the first real expansion for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
A new portal opens in Niben Bay, Cyrodiil, and it leads to the torn realm of Sheogorath, the Daedric Prince of Madness. In that realm exists an island that represents the madness of Sheogorath himself with its two sides Mania and Dementia. Each side is the exact duplicate of the other but with the difference that one side is pure depression and the other pure (but don't expect it being less deadlier) happiness - which also changes the look and behavior of the NPCs and monsters. But something is happening to the island and Sheogorath is looking for a champion to take care of it: you.
On the Shivering Isles you will find new many new dungeons, items, ingredients and spells which you can of course take back to Cyrodiil as well. Many new quests and questlines await the adventurer of which many rely on the different sides of the Shivering Isles. For instance, one quests requires you to kill an NPC but it is up to you if you kill the one on the Evil side or his exact counter-part on the Good side. |
