Virtual Chess II
Virtual Chess II is a top chess game. Unlike Combat chess and other
similar games it is has no lame 3D shit but rather a very powerfull
engine !
As the 1996 ICCA Professional Champion among chess programs,
VIRTUA CHESS II is a genuine Artificial Intelligence engine. It is
designed to run on the very latest processors (MMX, PP, P II). It applies
all the official rules of chess and its parameters are entirely user
definable.
VIRTUA CHESS II is capable of selective toughts and of adapting to all
playing levels, from a beginner who simulates human error to the world
class levels. The program has even beaten the runner up in the 1993
World Championships. The best recorded performance is 2680 ELO.
The graphic interface provides 3D Real time display. It also features
12 interchangeable style of chess boards and pieces in 2D & 3D.
Connectable to a LAN and to the Internet (TCP/IP, PIX, Modem, serial)
it can be used to transfer all type of files. (game ,sounds, gfx),
a dialogue box allows several players to play the same game.
