It is a “Click Management” game somewhat like Airport Mania, Diner Dash or Cake Mania but with a house building theme and a time theme. Like most Click Management games, you are filling customer orders by managing multiple simultaneous tasks. In this case you build the houses they want. Also like most Click Management games, the real fun is in the upgrading you do between levels. You upgrade the types of houses you can build, the accessories that go with the houses (like swimming pools and landscaping) and you upgrade the building crews so you can build houses faster or build multiple houses at once. After each level you go shopping and chose which upgrades to buy. Finally, the "in Time" part of the name has multiple meanings. The game starts out in 1950 and progress to the present. Along the way you see changes in house style, clothing style, hair styles, home prices, music styles, and the general theme of the game. It all changes to match the decade.
